Survol (hover) takes a bird’s eye view of the world. Our relationship with the landscape is confined to where we stand, whereas those with a drone, or other means of flight, get to observe a whole lot more of what is going on. A whole new range of visual idioms is opened up to the viewer, an abstract pattern of the terrain we inhabit is revealed and as usual technology can deliver this experience in a fast and convenient manner.
