Rocky Road to Dublin

One two three four five,
Hunt the hare and turn her down the rocky road
And all the way to Dublin, whack-fol-la-de-da!
So goes the the traditional Irish song Rocky Road to Dublin. In my contemporary visual rendition we are driving the old road at night, stuck behind the ever present HGV. The lights of the city are a far off mirage. The motorway sign, anther mirage, really doesn’t exist. It’s just advertising better driving conditions in the future c 2010.

Viewing a limited edition print in person is a good way to get a sense of its scale, the vibrancy of its colours and, all the nuances of textures of the print surface. My work can be found in galleries in Ireland and abroad.
